We recently moved to central Florida, in between cleaning and packing I had itchy fingers, I had nothing on a deadline soooo, I crocheted some things for our new place.
I started with some Size 3 cotton thread I found in a thrift store months ago. I always wanted to play with the Fibonacci sequence of stripes. I will talk more about this in a future post. Anyway, these are the curtains. I judged the width from one previous visit and crocheted until I ran out of yarn. I like the way they came out. My color inspiration was a Kitchen Aid tea pot also found in a thrift store in green. If I had more yarn I would have made a second curtain to allow for more gathering.
Next was some new dishcloths, I love my cotton crochet dishcloths. I just made two quickies to add to my collection. The round one is my favorite, I perfected my circular technique after taking Marty Miller’s Going in Circles class in the Knit and Crochet Show in July, Thanks Marty.
I now moved to more cotton. I made a removable and washable cover for my swiffer. Will definitely be making more of these.
This is a basket I made from Lion Brands Fettuccini (now discontinued).
Again using techniques from Marty Millers Going in Circles class. This yarn is a stretchy t-shirt material, it stretched nicely to hold all my lotions and potions.
I love whipping out useable and practical things……
