Arrived at Chain Link CGOA

My husband and I  have safely arrived in Concord NC for the CGOA Chain Link conference.  I feel like I’ve arrived at Disney, so many fun people with the same insane passion of crochet in one spot.  Tomorrow’s agenda is Professional Development Day with speakers that cover so much of the crochet industry form newsletters and blogs to getting published and more.  Will try to post daily with pictures.

Slip Swoop Loop

Recently Crochetville created an event to challenge us to learn a new technique Slip Stitch.  I went to Vashti Braha design site and found    Slip Swoop Loop scarf and chose that with the beaded option to make my first slip stitch project. I used Manos Serena a baby alpaca cotton blend. I have to say it came out beautiful and was pretty easy once I got the twisted stitch.  I will be wearing it at the Knit and Crochet Conference in Concord NC.  I made it  over 3 days while visiting my mother-in-law.

Fall in New York

The weather has been just beautiful here in NY. A hint of colors starting on the trees, feeling the chill inspires me to crochet with warmer cozy yarns.  I’m currently making Chevron Lace Cardigan with Universal Yarns Bamboo Pop a cotton and bamboo blend.
The pattern is free on Ravelry Chevron Lace this will be perfect for winter in FL
