Day 1

We made it to Post Falls Idaho, stayed at the Red Lion Hotel that was on the Spokane River.  All is well, the car did good getting over the Cascade Mountains.  The bike on the rack is tight, next stop… Bozeman Montana.

2 more days

2 days left, I’m doing the final cleaning.. I have to get my bike ready for the trip.  Of course I’m crocheting away, I finished a nice cotton scoop neck sweater made with Luna Paints from Cascade Yarn and now working on my Arched Fingerless Mitts for a couple friends.  The Arched pattern will soon be a free download at Cascade Yarn.  The mitts are made with Heritage 150 Paints, again from Cascade Yarn.
I will post pictures of the sweater and gloves soon.  I then plan to keep posting the trip across to Florida.

The Move

For the next couple of weeks  I will share the adventures of moving diagonally across the country, highlighting yarn stores along the way.  Right now it’s one garage sale after another……then to pack the car….

My Baby

The model with the wrap on in the picture to the right is my design for Cascade Yarn. It is now available as a free download on their site. The link is below the picture.  I call it my baby because it was truly a labor of love. It is crocheted with Alpaca Lace yarn and has approximately 1100 beads on it that just adds a subtle shine. I titled it Elegant Wrap.

A new chapter

I’ve started my blog over.. again.
We are moving to The Sunshine State this month.
My crochet hobby is starting to become more… more on that later.
I’ll have a whole new state to bike ride and explore…
