Day 5

It’s Saturday.. in Kansas City MO now.  Looks like a nice area. We got lucky this morning and missed all the storms in the area, some very bad.  I 29 is closed because of the MO river flooding so we had to detour for 72 miles down hwy 59.  It was actually nice getting off the Interstate.  Left cowboy and livestock country for corn.  Hit humidity in MO for the first time…

Sophie’s Two Way Scarf

The new picture to the right is a scarf that can be converted to a shrug by buttoning under the arms. I named it after my grandmother who taught me how to crochet, the chevron stitch reminds me of many afghans she made.

Day 3

In Gillette Wyoming tonight. I still think driving through Wyoming is beautiful, it really makes me think about the pioneers, especially when we passed Little Big Horn and Custer Battlefield….Gillette is a very nice town.  no pics.

These pictures are from the Red Lion Hotel in Post Falls Idaho.  The hotel is on the Spokane River, really nice place to stay, they have a beach, marina and snack bar by the river.
