I just started using Susan Bates Amour hook, they are unbelievable to work with, I do hold it fork style. I love the smooth top, the soft grip and the colors are fun too. http://www.shopredheart.com/default.aspx?PageID=62&CategoryID=42&ProductID=6874&PPG=5&RootCatCode=03000

Lessons Learned
Lesson number 1:
If the pattern calls for sport weight yarn in cotton, don’t only get the correct weight yarn but fiber as well. I bought sport weight to make a beautiful Robyn Chachula cardigan but purchased superwash wool, well the pattern called for cotton. The wool stretched out so bad it was a total loss. Cotton and wool are two different species. My gauge was correct, I had all my ends weaved in and blocked it. Ugh what a mess, I can’t even unravel it because of the motifs connected as you go.
Book
If you asked me a year ago would you ever write a crochet pattern book I would have said “in my dreams” Dreams come true. I have items ready to go to Annies Publishing for a pattern book out tentatively this fall. Stay tuned and I thank God I have Margaret….www.anniescatalog.com
