I grew up in Central NJ where where I worked in retail for many years, most of those years selling Clinique Cosmetics at Macy’s (Bamberger’s), I also worked for Clinique as an Account Coordinator. I learned to crochet from my grandmother when I was about 9 years old, I came back to crochet when I was given her hooks (Boye), books and yarn when she passed away in 1996. I started exploring more techniques through many books, gained confidence and continued to challenge myself. My husband and I had just “retired” so the timing was good to start something new. My husband and I moved to WA state from the NJ where I was getting positive feedback of my crochet designs. I was then invited to meet with a group of weekly knitters, I the only crocheter. These ladies really encouraged me, so in 2009 I sold my first design to Cascade Yarns in Seattle WA.
I have sold many designs to Cascade Yarns, Willow Yarns, Windy Valley Muskox, Red Heart, Herrschners, amd many others. My designs have been published in Crochet!, Crochet World, and several other magazines and have contributed designs in other designers books over the past 12 years. I won First place in the Crochet Guild of America National Design Competition for my Caribbean Blues Shawl in the Tunisian category. I am a Professional member of The Crochet Guild of America, and a former member of the CGOA Board of Directors.
I currently live in Central Florida with my husband, where we travel whenever we can especially cruising lately. I am the aunt to wonderful neices and nephews.
